A day at Tahuya...

We had a lovely day yesterday out near Tahuya.  We found a little secluded spot on Twin Lake.  Rue tried out his new fishing pole.  Daniel had a blast throwing rocks in the water and getting good and dirty.  Daisy did a lot of reading.

Daniel, Starbuck and I went on a couple of little walks around the camping area. (Unfortunately camping is no longer allowed in this area which is an absolute shame since it is such a beautiful spot.)  Every time we came across another fire pit Daniel would get all excited and exclaim, "There's another one!".

A man and his dog.  :)  Starbuck loved to just throw herself into the water and just swim around.  :)

All I wanted was one picture of us together.  *SIGH*  :)
The view from our picnic table.

I wish you could see him swinging his legs in this picture.  There could not have been a happier boy at that moment.  Adventures tromping around with his puppy, covered in dirt and all sticky from a marshmallow, what more could a little boy want?!  :)
It sure was a lovely day.  I really didn't want to leave.  I hope they will open this area back up for camping again soon!  Thankfully there are other places to camp around there.  Can't wait to go back!

Freebie!!!

I love being organized.  I have to say I am not as organized as I could be but I am learning and always looking for new tools to help me.  I was thinking that putting up a little daily planner on the fridge that I could easily see everyday would be helpful.  I knew I could simply go out and buy one but I am also trying to be frugal.  I decided to design one of my own that I can print out whenever I need it.

AND I decided to go ahead and share it with all of my lovely readers as a thank you to all of you who visit my blog!  So feel free to print off as many copies as you would like!

Daily Planner

The blank space at the bottom is a miscellaneous box for whatever else you might need to add.  I am going to use it to write down what I read for my daily devotions.

I may make changes to it as I get new ideas and I learn how to use cool templates or something but for now it is a basic, simple, useful template.

There is also a link to it on my right side-bar.

Chef Daniel...

Daniel was out playing in the backyard the other day and I went out to check on him and he had filled the dog's water dish with grass, rocks and dirt.  He was engrossed in stirring it around.  I asked him what he was doing and he said he was cooking soup.  I don't know about you but that looks like one delicious soup to me!  ;)

Little hike at Staircase...

Rue and I had the day all to ourselves on Tuesday and we decided to drive out towards the Olympics. I worked that morning and we both had colds so we decided on a nice easy hike along a river through the woods instead of climbing up nearby Mt. Rose.  We drove down to Staircase and hiked the Staircase rapids trail. We had a lovely time and it was so nice to just be out in the woods with my hubby.  We even had a cherry pit spitting contest. He won by a landslide.  :)

There we go.  I like 'em tall.  :)

Believe it or not Rue is in this last picture.  :)

Daniel turns 3...

June 12th was Daniel's 3rd birthday.  I can't believe my baby boy is three already!  He is the sweetest, goofiest little goose there is.

He had "dirt" cupcakes with gummy worms. :)

My parents got him his first little bike.  My dad painted "The Bear" on the back.  He calls Daniel Bear because when he was a baby he would make these cute little growling noises that sounded like a baby bear.

I am looking forward to another year of watching him grow and learn new things.

I had to add this picture of Daniel and his Sissy.  Isn't this just melt-your-heart-to-a-puddle-on-the-floor sweet?!

Here is a link to video my father-in-law took of Daniel blowing out his candles.

Thanks to Mom for taking all the b-day pics!

Oh, and the answer to my last post is that the mountain on the cup is Mt.Rainier not the Olympic Mountains.  Oops, wrong National Park guys!  :)

Saturday Sundries: What's wrong with this picture...

I will give you a penny if you can tell my what's wrong with this little water bottle.  I bought it for Daniel in Olympic National Park off the clearance shelf.  I just figured out why it was on the clearance shelf! :) Leave a comment if you see it!

Blogger's Block...

I have a bad case of blogger's block. I have no clue what to blog about right now.  So here is a little video of when Daniel was 5 months old. I needed a little baby fix. :)

I need BABY! And not necessarily one of my own but if someone has a little baby they would like to let me borrow for a week or two I am all for that.  :)

Daniel's weed whacker...

Daniel loves to watch Daddy mow the lawn and use the weed whacker.  The other day he grabbed my watering wand and started walking around making a buzzing noise.  I asked him what he was doing and he said he was using the weed whacker.  :)  I love the way his little mind works.
