Here are Gabe, Gabriel and Hannah DeRoo. Gabe leaves tomorrow for Iraq for one year. We will be praying for him everyday and for Hannah and little Gabriel.
Oh boy, that is going to be tough. A year is an awlful long time. My prayers are with this family too. I'm glad Hannah's family is close by, supportive. I know that you, too, Annie, will help to lighten Hannah's load.
And, that is one precious photo, with big kisses smashing Gabriel's face. I hope Gabe has a copy to take with him to Iraq.
We live in Hampton Roads, Virginia, which has a base/station/fort for every branch of the military within a 50 mile radius. The news is filled with deployments and arrivals daily, and I also have many military spouses for friends. I know how difficult this will be for this family and will certainly pray for them.
Brien was in the Air Force for almost six years and we never had a long deployment, and I consider myself blessed.
God's plan is a family and this is a beautiful picture of one. It seems that man's plan is war and that interferes with the things of God - so sad for the families involved. ec
Annie, I was just on Bonita's blog (7-7-06) and read of your loss. I wanted to let you know how terribly sorry I am and that you and your family are in my prayers.
